We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Locum Family Practice Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and assessments for patients across all age groups.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform routine procedures such as suturing, wound care, and basic life support interventions in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with specialists in areas such as psychiatry, endocrinology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and dermatology as needed for comprehensive patient care.
- Provide health coaching, preventive screenings, immunizations, and patient education to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in outpatient family medicine or primary care settings with a strong foundation in comprehensive patient assessment.
- Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; experience with medical records management is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform clinical procedures including suturing, IV infusion, airway management, and basic diagnostic evaluations.
- Experience working in hospital or inpatient environments, including Level I or Level II trauma centers, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding, and discharge planning processes.
- Prior involvement in clinical research or participation in clinical trials is a plus but not required.
