Position Overview:As a host at The Clocktower, you are the first and last impression for our guests. Your role is to greet guests warmly, manage the flow of the dining room, and ensure every guest feels welcome and well cared for from the moment they arrive. You’ll be part of a fast-paced team that values communication, professionalism, and a friendly attitude.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests with a positive, welcoming attitude
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the seating chart and waitlist tools
- Provide accurate wait time estimates and keep guests informed
- Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth seating flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
- Answer the phone professionally, handle to-go orders, and assist with guest inquiries
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Assist with light duties such as menus, table setups, or cleaning as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous host or customer service experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure
- Comfortable using a reservation or waitlist system (experience with OpenTable, Resy, or similar is a plus)
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
