Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Saunders I.T.
Because we’re growing, we are looking for an ambitious, part-time Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. In this role, you’ll work directly with our senior sales team to:
- Clean names in lists provided
- Follow up on marketing campaigns, events, and referrals
- Schedule first-time appointments
- Keep our CRM (Keap) and prospect database up to date
This is an entry-level sales position with real opportunity for advancement in a fast-growing IT services company.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Make outbound calls every day to follow up on prospects from our marketing campaigns, events, and referral partners
- Make follow-up calls, send e-mails, and use LinkedIn to engage prospects and book appointments
- Lightly qualify prospects based on our ideal client profile and documented criteria
- Schedule appointments for our President and confirm those meetings
- Log all activities, notes, and outcomes into our CRM to keep data clean and accurate
- Assist with basic list-building and list-cleaning projects to support campaigns
Requirements – DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE THIS:
- YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCCESSFULLY SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS, telemarketing, OR other relevant phone sales experience in a Business to Business environment. If your experience is Business to Consumer, do not apply.
- Proven success making outbound prospecting calls in a prior role – you are not afraid of the phone
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional, confident phone presence
- Highly motivated and target-driven, with the ability to follow a proven process and hit activity/appointment goals
- Strong time management and organizational skills; able to manage call blocks, follow-ups, and CRM updates without hand-holding
- Comfortable working with basic computer tools (CRM, Excel, email, web-based applications)

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary plus bonuses and commission tied to appointments set and opportunities created, with on-target earnings designed around a 70% base / 30% variable plan as recommended in The TMT Framework
Work Location & Hours
- On-site/Hybrid/Remote (Flexible) – based in Birmingham, Alabama
- Part-time, Monday–Friday, 20+ hours
- You will probably work 4 hours each day
- Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
