California Accident Firm, APC is looking for a Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage the pre-litigation department. We are a fast-growing boutique law firm in Encino, CA. Our team is comprised of knowledgeable individuals who focus on Personal Injury pre-litigation and litigation cases. Summary
This role will work under general direction from the partners of California Accident Firm, APC, and will work closely with case managers, intake specialists, the medical records department, lien reductions department, attorneys, etc.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and determined.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing pre-litigation files daily to ensure proper treatment including relaying medical provider recommendations to client.
- Ensure no gaps in client’s treatment to minimize delays
- Properly advise and guarantee case managers are aware of next steps in treatment
- Continuously monitor case manager’s files to ensure insurance coverages are verified and liability issues are resolved in an extremely timely manner
- Handle all client complaints and resolve any issues between client and case managers or clients and medical providers
- Monitor SOLs
- Assist in trial preparation and attend court hearings as needed
- Oversee document management systems and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Provide clerical and executive administrative support to the pre-litigation and litigation teams as required
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw to support personal injury cases.
- Draft legal documents and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Organize case files and maintain accurate records in the law office.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in legal proceedings as necessary.
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement
- Conduct initial case evaluations and develop case strategies
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
- Prepare demand packages and negotiate settlements
- Draft legal correspondence and related documents
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth transition to litigation when needed
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.
- Strong time management skills, including prioritization of cases and adhering to deadlines, internal or those imposed by the Court.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal communication, time management, and project management skills in handling the caseloads required of the position.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment with other lawyers and paralegals
- Fully Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat DC.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
