Now Hiring: Diesel Mechanic
We’re looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience working on Freightliner and Volvo tractors.
Pay: $30–$35 per hour
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday Full-time, 40 hours per week
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and related systems
- Performing preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and DOT inspections
- Servicing brake systems (air and hydraulic), suspension, steering, and electrical systems
- Working on aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF, EGR) and emissions components
- Reading and interpreting diagnostic codes using OEM and aftermarket scan tools
- Repairing HVAC systems, starters, alternators, and onboard electronics
- Welding and minor fabrication as needed
- Documenting all repairs, parts used, and labor accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Communicating with drivers, dispatch, and shop management on repair status and timelines
Requirements:
- Diesel certification (required)
- Proven experience servicing and repairing Freightliner and Volvo tractors
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Own basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
