JOB SUMMARY:
The Transportation Coordinator, reporting to the Inventory Manager and in close collaboration with the Customer Service Manager, is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate system records, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of customer orders. This role supports customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, freight cost tracking, and compliance with company procedures and regulatory compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

Coordinate and schedule shipments with customers and carriers to meet delivery requirements.

Enter and maintain accurate shipment data in the ERP system; confirm shipments to relieve inventory.

Track shipments and resolve delivery, carrier, or documentation issues.

Record and support reconciliation of freight costs.

Ensure order, shipment, and inventory accuracy; investigate discrepancies.

Monitor performance metrics and support process improvements.

Follow company policies, internal controls, and documentation standards.

Support company and individual performance goals.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function to required standards while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude. Successful performance includes the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

High School Diploma or GED

2–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or order fulfillment

ERP system experience preferred

Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of transportation processes and basic cost tracking concepts

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Excel, word, and Teams.

Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.
