Responsibilities
- Take accurate room service orders via phone or POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring all guest requests are understood and fulfilled promptly.
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including meals, snacks, wine, and drinks, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Deliver orders efficiently to guest rooms while maintaining professionalism and friendly guest interactions.
- Assist with setting up meal presentations, garnishing dishes, and ensuring food quality before delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, including trays, carts, and storage spaces.
- Handle guest inquiries with enthusiasm, providing information about menu items, wine pairings, or local amenities to enhance their experience.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or bussing duties as needed to ensure smooth service flow.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling procedures, and basic food safety standards.
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and billing.
- Strong command of English for clear communication with guests and team members.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for bills, tips, or ingredient measurements accurately.
- Knowledge of wine types and beverage service to assist guests with drink selections confidently.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings preferred but not required; a passion for guest relations is essential.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift trays or supplies throughout shifts; flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
