The Twenty Two is a luxury lifestyle hotel based in London. We are opening a new property with an all-day public restaurant and private members’ club located in the former Margaret Louisa Home in Union Square.
We are looking for an Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates who are responsible, dedicated, and trustworthy.
Overview:
The Engineer maintains the interior and exterior of the Twenty-Two building to a luxurious standard with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, following all US/NYC legal and health and safety requirements.
General Responsibilities:
- Carries out all maintenance requests in regard to the following areas and to be highly competent in these areas - E+M (including AHU's, FCU's + Split Units) Painting, Decorating, Plumbing, Carpentry, Plaster repair, Tiling.
- Demonstrates a diligent stance by conducting additional checks around the hotel ensuring proactive maintenance and upkeep.
- Ensures polishing and painting are of an exceptional standard.
- Carries out all PPM schedules including fire alarm testing, water hygiene, emergency light testing and HVAC etc. as pre planned by the Head of Facilities.
- Diagnoses faults relating to the BMS or any other electrical systems.
- Proactively deals with any breakdowns, liaising with contractors as necessary.
- Takes the lead and initiative on personal training and development by attending any trade related training courses.
- Provides outstanding levels of guest service in line with the Twenty-Two’s brand values by demonstrating exceptional communication skills with colleagues and guests, having a positive attitude, being exceptionally reliable, and demonstrating excellent demeanor.
- Supports the contractors and tradesman that are carrying out maintenance work on products, finishes, plant and equipment.
- Oversees the fire safety system including testing and procedures.
- Supports in the purchasing of parts and ensuring appropriate stock management.
- Complies with all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests and team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in 5-star hotel or similar luxury environment is beneficial
- Thorough technical understanding of relevant operating systems

- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional guest service
- Ability to lift 30+ pounds
