Your experience working with Autism and students with severe behaviors will be essential in creating structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized instruction, behavior intervention plans, and meaningful accommodations. Through your work, you will help students build independence, improve communication, and achieve academic success while positively impacting families and the Corpus Christi community.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field
- Active Texas Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder and severe behavioral needs preferred
- Ability to meet all state licensure, certification, and background requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with IEP goals across K-12 settings
- Implement behavior intervention plans and evidence-based strategies for students with Autism and severe behaviors
- Monitor and document academic and behavioral progress
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing student support planning
