Are you an OT interested in specializing in post-surgical hand therapy? Are you interested in managing a wide variety of challenging upper extremity conditions? Are you willing to dedicate your time and expertise in a community underserved by hand therapy specialists? If so, we'd love to meet you.
We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in post-surgical hand therapy, and willingness to be trained and reviewed on upper extremity orthopedic and neurological conditions. We work closely with top hand surgeons in the local area and as such, constantly manage complex hand therapy cases. This is a rare opportunity to have exposure to these types of cases. While experience is a plus, this position is also open to new graduates with the desire to be exposed to and trained in this setting. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who would like to become CHTs in the near future.
What you’ll do
- Treat patients with post-surgical and non-surgical upper extremity conditions
- Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with hand surgeons and the broader care team
- Build clinical knowledge in orthopedic and neurological hand conditions
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in New York State
- Strong interest in post-surgical hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation
- Positive attitude and team-oriented approach
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Resilience, initiative, and willingness to learn
- Interest in learning Spanish is strongly preferred

Pay: $83,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
