As a Security Officer Full time in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage visitor and employee entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver outstanding customer service while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.

Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation before permitting entry.

Maintain accurate access-control logs and records for visitors, deliveries, vehicles, contractors, and personnel in accordance with site procedures.

Monitor entry and exit points, report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gate areas, and the surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.

At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
