Duties
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, heavy trucks, and other vehicles
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment and structural components
- Service and repair vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical issues accurately
- Maintain detailed service records and complete inspection reports
- Assist with equipment assembly, alignment, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and general maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician with dealership or industrial background preferred
- Strong welding and fabrication skills
- Familiarity with diagnostics, electrical systems repair, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical diagrams accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, suspensions, brake systems (including air brakes), shocks & struts
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely
- Valid certifications in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair are highly desirable
Pay: $47,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
