Location: Pier House 60 Marina Hotel
Position Summary:
The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. This role requires a hands-on, dependable individual with basic knowledge of various trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, and systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
- Respond promptly to maintenance service requests, work orders, and emergencies.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address safety hazards, maintenance needs, and areas requiring repair.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs and scheduled inspections.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in good working condition and organized.
- Assist with painting, drywall repairs, furniture assembly, and other general upkeep tasks.
- Support landscaping and exterior maintenance, including basic groundskeeping tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Provide courteous and professional service to residents, guests, staff, or tenants.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in general maintenance, construction, or related field (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
Work Environment:
- Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and hazards related to maintenance work.
