Rockford Tool is an ISO 9001:2015 certified job shop located in Eastrock Industrial park. We specialize in low volume machining. Our equipment includes vertical machining centers ( including 5 axis.) The machines and software are late model. The company has been in business 32 years. The toolroom is air conditioned. This job is perfect for someone who is self-motivated and ambitious. Job shop experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Program, set-up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations to meet precise tolerance and finish requirements.
- Create programs using the latest version of Mastercam software.
- Read and interpret blueprints and inspect your own work.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Be challenged with a variety of tasks and not tied to one routine.
Skills
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery.
- Expertise in reading blueprints for precise manufacturing.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision tools.
- Solid understanding of tooling selection, setup procedures, and machine calibration techniques.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and machine adjustments.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to machining environments including the use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
