Shop Lead – Aluminum Fabrication
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with overtime as required
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Shop Lead to lead daily operations in our aluminum fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication and welding skills, the ability to supervise shop personnel, and a commitment to quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop operations and production schedules.
- Lead and support fabrication personnel to ensure quality workmanship and on-time completion of projects.
- Perform aluminum MIG and TIG welding.
- Operate fabrication equipment, including:
- Upcut saw
- Large band saw
- Iron worker
- Read and interpret shop drawings and work orders.
- Use hand tools and precision measuring tools, including tape measures, accurately.
- Assist with setup and operation of CNC equipment (minor CNC knowledge required).
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Train and mentor shop employees as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Shop Foreman, Lead Fabricator, or similar supervisory role.
- Extensive experience with aluminum MIG and TIG welding.
- Proficiency operating upcut saws, large band saws, and iron workers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using a variety of hand tools.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work from shop drawings.
- Basic CNC machine knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.
