Responsibilities
- Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment and systems using hand tools and specialized testing devices.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct service calls at client sites for on-site troubleshooting and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to measure electrical resistance, voltage, and current for troubleshooting purposes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and quality assurance.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of computer hardware related to electronic systems, including networking components.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to support equipment assembly or disassembly as needed during repairs or upgrades.
Skills
- Proven experience in field service operations with a focus on electronics or related technical fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and crimpers.
- Service technician experience involving equipment repair, maintenance, or installation.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and basic computer networking principles.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical circuits effectively.
- Mechanical aptitude for supporting equipment assembly or disassembly tasks.
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems (typically under 50V) with safety awareness.
- Familiarity with using testing instruments like ohmmeters for electrical measurements.
