Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings, including water supply lines, drainage, and fixtures.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, materials, and personnel to job sites.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and plumbing inspection cameras to diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently.
- Perform drain cleaning using specialized equipment to clear blockages and ensure proper flow within plumbing systems.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately interpret project requirements and plan installations or repairs.
- Conduct plumbing system inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
- Assist with remodeling projects by assembling fixtures, installing new piping, and performing carpentry tasks as needed.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment is required; safety protocols must always be followed during all operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout each project.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation and repair in residential or commercial environments.
- Skilled in welding, pipe threading, schematics reading, and interpreting technical drawings related to plumbing systems.
- Hands-on experience with drain cleaning tools, plumbing inspection cameras, water systems maintenance, HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations to ensure all work meets legal standards.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as construction vehicles safely; commercial driving license preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing components including fixtures, pipes, valves, water heaters, and related systems.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of blueprint reading and construction site safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; handyman or remodeling experience is advantageous.
