Responsibilities:
As our Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward. You’ll work closely with leadership to:
- Prepare Accurate & Competitive Bids: Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to produce detailed, timely estimates using industry-standard estimating software. Define scopes of work, generate RFIs, and research material, labor, and vendor pricing.
- Drive Sales & Business Development: Manage incoming leads and active sales channels, cultivate strong client relationships, and proactively identify new project opportunities across public and private sectors.
- Lead the Bid Process: Oversee bids from initial pricing through submission and post-bid follow-up, working closely with clients, general contractors, and stakeholders to secure awarded contracts.
- Client & Customer Engagement: Serve as a key point of contact for customers throughout the bidding and pre-construction phases, providing responsive communication, technical guidance, and exceptional service.
- Project Transition & Coordination: Upon bid award, coordinate all project details with production, project management, and accounting teams to ensure a seamless handoff and successful execution.
- Project Oversight & Collaboration: Participate in weekly project review meetings, assist with schedule planning, monitor timelines, and communicate change orders, scope clarifications, and potential issues.
- Administrative & Reporting Duties: Maintain an organized estimating calendar, manage deadlines and deliverables, and complete weekly progress reports for assigned areas of responsibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Experience and/or strong understanding of estimating, construction procedures, materials and project management principles.
- Tile/Stone experience a HUGE PLUS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; On-Screen Takeoff experience a plus
- Detail-oriented, logical problem-solver, team player with leadership potential, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
