We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Advisor/ Shop Assistant to join our dynamic automotive service team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between our customers and service technicians, ensuring that all service needs are communicated effectively and efficiently. This role requires strong sales skills, an understanding of automotive services, and the ability to manage customer inquiries with professionalism and care.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Document customer requests and relay information to service technicians accurately.
- Provide detailed explanations of services offered, including brake systems, suspension components, shocks, and struts.
- Handle cash transactions securely while maintaining accurate records of payments.
- Follow up with customers regarding service completion and satisfaction levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote automotive sales initiatives.
- At time parts expediting for techs
- Shop cleanup
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive service or sales is preferred but not required, open to training the right candidate.
- Strong cash handling skills are essential for managing transactions effectively.
- Familiarity with automotive terminology and systems, particularly brakes and suspension components, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to transmit information clearly between customers and technicians.
