Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing products, and participating in regular stock checks
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or scheduling appointments
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing shifts
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts
- Excellent communication skills, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Skilled in delivering product demos with enthusiasm and clarity to educate customers about features and benefits
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally via phone or in person
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and basic grocery store operations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
