Arizona Training & Evaluation Center, Inc. (AZTEC) is a private 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization offering support and services to children and adults with intellectual and development disabilities, Valley-wide since 1979.
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Full-time Human Resources Generalist. This position will perform a wide variety of support services in the Human Resources Department Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM.
Responsibilities:

Ensures data management, data integrity and accuracy of the Paycom HRIS and Payroll Platform; through the employee life cycle.

Review and approve payroll in Paycom biweekly. Coordinate all Payroll transaction approvals with Human Resources team members as needed. Serve as back up for payroll in the absence of the Payroll Coordinator.
- Maintain compliance with all Aztec and DDD licensing requirements (Fingerprint Cards, CPR First Aid, Driving requirements, all Trainings).

Respond to Unemployment claims and represent Aztec at Unemployment Hearings.

Respond to Workers Compensation claims and files annual reports.

Provide system reports of data: Employee turnover, demographics, payroll data, employee census and benefit data.

Participates in audits related to DDD licensing.

Maintains knowledge of Federal, State and local employment laws and changes.

Benefits management: Enrollment of Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability. Coordinates the Annual Open Enrollment with Brokers and carrier representatives. Files annual reporting of PCORI fees and ACA. Communicates benefit programs to eligible employees.
- Coordinates with Training Coordinator and Human Resources Director on lateral transfers and training needs.

Responds to employee grievances, workplace investigations and documents resolution of issues. Participate in exit interview.

Maintains compliance and accuracy of data managed in Focus, Spoke Choice and HCBS portals as required by DDD licensing.
- Maintains confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in compliance with Aztec and DDD requirements.

Demonstrate a high level of ethical conduct and professionalism
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field from an Accredited Education Institution or University. SHRM Certification preferred.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

5 years of experience in a Human Resources role or office management.

Candidates must be able to obtain a Arizona Department of Public Safety Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Valid Arizona Driver License with acceptable driving record

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of the DD population or experience in Human Services.

Paycom experience preferred; or proficiency with Payroll/HRIS platforms.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word programs.
