American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Angiography with 1-2 years of vascular or interventional experience for a Day shift assignment.

Interventional Radiology department setting
-
3 or 4 10-hour Day shifts per week plus call
-
Call requirement of approximately 1 weekday shift per week and 1 weekend per month
-
40 hours per week

Uses Epic for charting
-
1-2 years of vascular or interventional experience required
-
ARRT(R) certification required
-
BLS (AHA) certification required, must not expire prior to start date
-
Active state license required if applicable
-
Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for this assignment

Proficiency in operating IR imaging equipment and related information systems
-
Knowledge of anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency
-
Experience performing angiography and vascular procedures
-
Knowledge and adherence to infection control and sterile techniques
-
Ability to function independently and as part of a care team
-
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Perform Angiography procedures including scrubbing, setting techniques, and image acquisition
-
Serve as circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech according to Angio lab policies and Scope of Practice
-
Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
-
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
-
Assist with SIRT mapping/treatments, embolizations, nephrostomy and biliary tube placements
-
Assist with CT-guided procedures including drains, biopsies, and ablations
-
Perform Neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures
-
Suture or remove sheath and apply pressure for hemostasis following procedures
-
Provide patient education and address patient/family concerns
-
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and any incidents
-
Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers post-procedure
-
Maintain work area and stock necessary supplies
-
Transport patients as needed
-
Returning Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this travel assignment
