Quality Assurance Manager

MTM has a position open for a Quality Assurance Mgr in our Advanced Quality Group in Kansas City, MO. The successful candidate will manage and improve processes through the implementation of CQI. The QA Manager/Engineer will report to Executive Mgmt. on the company's Quality Management System (QMS) with a goal of zero defects.
We manufacture high quality precision machined parts & assemblies and ground support equipment for the Aircraft Industry. We use the latest in advanced computerized manufacturing technology. We are seeking highly skilled, quality minded, dependable, positive & motivated individuals to join our growing TEAM of professionals. We are an ISO 9001:2000/ AS9100 registered company. This individual will be responsible for Mgmt. and Administrative aspects of our Quality Systems in accordance with the referenced standards. Will lead a team of inspectors and other QA personnel. Must have strong analytical skills with good communication and interpersonal skills to work with other departments. (Engineers, Purchasing, Production, Sr. Mgrs.)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assure compliance of customer requirements and or Governmental regulations are met through the use of audited performance metrics.
· Develop KPI metrics to monitor performance.
· Analyze data to drive improvement.
Help improve or develop documentation for continuous improvement. Documentation can include but is not limited to: Corporate Quality procedures, work flow instructions for all plant personnel, business processes assembly instructions, inspection instructions, visual workmanship aids etc… Assist Mgrs. and HR to provide training as necessary.
Work with Mgrs., plant personnel and vendors on root cause analysis and corrective action measures to prevent or reocurrence.
Identify and support plant continuous improvement initiatives for Quality, Performance, Safety and environmental plant conditions.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Person and able to legally work in this country and meet ITAR compliance requirements.
- Exp w/ Gov and Aerospace specifications, SPC, Lean Mfg / Process Improvements & MRP.
- Strong computer skills (MS products), analytical, and root cause problem solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, oral & written.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings & specifications.
- Full understanding of ISO and AS Quality Standards.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Proven knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GDT).
- 5-10 years direct Aerospace QA experience.
Additional preferred skills or knowledge:
- College degree.
- ASQ or AQS Certification
- Quality Engineering
- Knowledge of NADCAP and Welder Certification
- Cyber security procedures
