Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support, working 1:1 or with small groups of students under the guidance of educators
- Promote positive student participation by assisting with routines, transitions, and classroom activities
- Help implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs to address unique student needs
- Provide mobility, supervision, and personal care assistance as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama LPN license
- Minimum age of 18
- Up-to-date TB test in accordance with district requirements
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting
- Ability to secure required clearances prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
- Background supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is highly valued
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, and collaborative attitude
