Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP and double-entry bookkeeping.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records through bookkeeping practices, including journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Prepare and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop platforms for efficient financial management.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in budget preparation and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations and tax requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliation and payroll processing as needed.
- Analyze accounts for discrepancies and provide solutions to rectify issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support corporate or non-profit accounting needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or a related field with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks is essential.
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and technical accounting practices.
- Experience in corporate accounting is preferred.
- Strong skills in account analysis, budgeting, and financial report writing.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes is required.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial documentation.
