Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License A Truck Driver and Owner Operator, where you'll take the wheel of tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently and safely across various routes. We are looking for drivers as well as owner operators. We have amazon regional contracts and for drivers the starting pay is $1400 to $1600. Owner operators can make between $2500 - $4,00 doing regional work and a lot more working OTR. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of trucks, including refrigerated, flatbed, and dry van trailers, while ensuring compliance with all federal and state regulations. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll be responsible for transporting goods over the road (OTR) or regional work with amazon. You'll be managing delivery schedules, and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise will keep our supply chain moving smoothly, providing vital support to businesses and communities alike. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions across OTR and regional routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal paths for timely deliveries.
- Transport refrigerated, flatbed, dry vans and amazon trailers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance; report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve logistical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations and safety standards for truck loading/unloading.
- Experience operating trucks with manual transmission and automatic transmission experience as well.
- Ability to handle logistics cargo effectively while maintaining safety standards during manual handling tasks.
- Strong navigation skills using GPS systems; excellent route planning abilities for efficient OTR routes.
