Nurse Aide 1 instructor
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified RN to join our team of Nurse Aide 1 Instructors in Chapel Hill, NC. There are opportunities for teaching theory, skills and/or clinicals. Our classes are daytime and evening/weekends. Candidates should have experience in long term care and passion for shaping future healthcare professionals. This is a flexible position that is great for retirees or a working professional seeking a meaningful second job. Preference is given to candidates with some weekday availability from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
Duties
- Teach in the classroom, skills lab and/or lead clinicals using the provided curriculum in accordance with Nurse Aide 1 training standards, integrating current best practices in nurse aide education.
- Always communicate the importance of professionalism and compassion in providing patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license with current licensure in NC.
- At least four years clinical experience
- Prior teaching experience with adult education programs is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience.
