What is the role?
The Trainer position is responsible for delivering effective, energizing, and creative classes in line with the Pvolve Method. The trainer will be a dynamic, high-energy, and commanding instructor, who is ready to be part of a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. This position requires teaching experience, a team-player attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding class experiences after completing the Pvolve certification program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Teach a minimum of 2-6 classes weekly.
- Successfully complete our 100-hour immersive training program to deliver on all components of the Pvolve class experience.
- Greet clients before class, assess the needs of class participants, and personalize class to each member needs.
- Ability to provide modifications and challenges to create an all-level class experience.
- Point of contact post class, advising clients on frequency, class packages, our program offerings, and any other questions/concerns
- Build Pvolve attendance and hit retention and utilization goals.
- Ensure safety and proper movement execution.
- Attend trainer meetings as part of ongoing development.
- Grow brand awareness through events, social media, and other marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A dynamic, high-energy personality
- A love for fitness, health, and wellness
- 2+ years group fitness experience (Preferably in the Pilates, Barre, Dance or other mind-body class formats)
- A deep understanding of anatomy and proper movement execution
- Comfortable on a mic leading a fast-paced class with loud music and lots of energy in the room.
- A high-energy, charismatic teaching style with the ability to coach to various fitness levels.
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude where everyone pitches in to grow the bottom line.
- A growth mindset with the ability to both receive and give feedback, seeking constant growth and development within our feedback culture.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
- Positive demeanor and team-player attitude
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Current trainer certification from accredited certifying bodies, with preference for one of the following NASM, ACE, or AFAA. Specialty certifications are a plus!
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field a plus
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
