Overview
TerraSense, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is looking for an entry-level full-time technician to work in our Geotechnical Laboratory as a Laboratory Technician testing soil/rock (geotechnical), concrete, aggregate and other construction materials to ASTM and AASHTO standards.
Responsibilities

Perform testing procedures in the laboratory accurately and in accordance with standards and specifications.

Become proficient in soil and rock classification systems.

Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients both verbally and in writing.

Work independently with supervision.

Work Environment may require regular exposure to bending, twisting, moderate to loud noise conditions and lifting weights of up to 75 lbs.

Some weekend and overtime work may be required.
Qualifications

Training and certifications will be provided.

Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Construction Management or Earth/Environmental Sciences is preferred.

NJSAT, ACI, NICET certifications are preferred, but not required.

Work hours will be 8 hours between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM M-F.

Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation: $18-$20 per hour (depending on qualifications)
