About Our Family
We are a busy family in Cypress with two active boys (ages 11 and 13) who are heavily involved in sports, music, academics, and extracurricular activities. We are seeking a proactive Family Assistant who can help reduce household logistics, keep our boys on track, and help our home run smoothly.
This is not a traditional nanny position. Our boys are independent and capable. We are looking for someone who can provide accountability, organization, transportation support, household assistance, and thoughtful partnership to busy working parents.
Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday
- Hours: Approximately 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Type: Guaranteed hours
- Flexibility: Additional flexibility required for school holidays, occasional weekend activities, and parent travel support.
Compensation & Perks
- Pay: Starting at $22/hour (paid via Zelle)
- Guaranteed hours
- Gas stipend provided
- 5 PTO/Sick Days (after a 90-day probationary period)
- Unused PTO paid out at the end of the calendar year
- Wellness Reimbursement: $100 quarterly
- Dedicated snack bin with requested snacks included in household grocery orders
- Meals covered during outings with the boys

- Provide safe, reliable transportation to and from activities as needed
- Help keep the boys on schedule
- Ensure chores, homework, and activities are completed
- Help maintain routines and accountability
- Support age-appropriate independence
Household Support
- Age-appropriate laundry support for the boys
- Household organization projects
- Grocery shopping and household errands (dry cleaning, Amazon returns, etc.)
- Light meal prep and food preparation
- Household inventory management
Family Logistics
- Track schedules and activities
- Help identify scheduling conflicts
- Support family organization and planning
- Assist with upcoming events, celebrations, and household needs
