Line cooks are passionate about our cuisine, customer service and pay attention to detail. Line cooks work in a fast-paced environment with an array of equipment specified to Maplewood Brewery and Distillery. This position is responsible for ensuring that all menu items are prepared correctly and plated consistently.
Weekends, evenings, and holidays are required for this position.
Requirements
The functions and areas of responsibilities include:
- With minimal assistance, be able to set up and work multiple stations at an acceptable level
- Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines
- With assistance, able to perform prep tasks assigned by Chefs and Sous Chefs
- Sets up multiple stations as required
- Operates, maintains and properly cleans kitchen equipment
- Maintains and cleans their required tools and equipment
- Works efficiently with a constant sense of urgency and professionalism
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
- Able to work a flexible schedule as business dictates including holidays and weekends
- Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties & tasks
- Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurant
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 pounds
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day in a hot environment
- Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictates
- Maintains a positive attitude, especially under pressure
- Maintains a clean and neat professional appearance
Minimum Qualifications
- Food Handler Certification required; Food Manager Certification preferred
- Ability to handle stress under pressure and high levels of business
- Willingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision while following recipes and build sheets
- Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend English, the primary language of instruction

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
