Prestige Ameritech is a leading U.S. manufacturer of personal protective equipment and medical products. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our growing operations team.This role will support purchasing activities for our expanding North and Anexa divisions. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to manage supplier communication, purchase orders, inventory needs, and delivery timelines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and services
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and order status
- Track inbound shipments and ensure on-time delivery of purchased goods
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and operations teams regarding material needs
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining proper stock levels
- Resolve supplier issues including shortages, delays, and backorders
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, and vendor information
- Research new suppliers and sourcing opportunities as needed
- Assist with cost savings initiatives and vendor negotiations
- Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain preferred
- Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up abilities
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, and Quickbooks
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
