Job Description
Our Community Managers are responsible for providing overall supervision of a portfolio of community associations. The Community Manager is responsible for interaction with Board Members, Committee Members, Homeowners, and Vendors.
Daily responsibilities:
- Develop recommendations for community goals and lead action plans to achieve Board objectives.
- Provide community leadership and guidance to ensure that the needs or desires of the homeowners are being addressed.
- In partnership with the Board, create and implement the annual working budget. On a monthly basis, monitor and report on the financial position of the association to the respective Boards.
- Provide leadership to each meeting involving the Board of Directors in terms of agenda support and written and oral reports.
- Be familiar with the Management Agreement in place for the individual communities assigned.
- Be familiar with the Governing Documents, including adopted rules and regulations for the individual communities assigned.
- Prepare disclosure packages, annual meeting notifications, and annual financial statement packages for all homeowners and arrange for distribution of information as dictated by the Governing Documents and state statute.
- Update homeowner and association information in the data base and shared files.
- Coordinate and/or oversee inspection of facilities, properties and common area, and arrange appropriate follow up actions as required by the Board.
- Ensure Board of Directors is aware of legal actions involving the Association.
Requirements
- CMCA Certification Required. AMS preferred.
- Customer service experience required. Excellent communication skills (written and spoken). Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques.
- Community management experience or equivalent professional experience in a related field strongly preferred.
- Be familiar and comply with Legislative updates and changes as they pertain to the governance and responsibilities of the Association and Management team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with various timelines and stages of completion.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task with timely follow-up.
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
- Work effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
