We are looking for a "General on the Ground." This is a hands-on leadership role for a seasoned Carpenter who can read a set of blueprints like a map, manage a crew with authority, and maintain the elite standards our clients expect. If you have less than 10 years of residential experience, please do not apply for this specific position.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Expert Craftsmanship: Perform and oversee high-end framing and intricate finish carpentry.
- Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex plans, drawings, and project specs without hand-holding.
- Crew Leadership: Coordinate field crews and subcontractors to hit daily milestones.
- Client Interface: Communicate professionally with homeowners and Project Managers to provide progress updates.
- Problem Solving: Identify jobsite hurdles early and make technical, on-the-spot decisions.
- Quality Control: Ensure every inch of the jobsite is safe, organized, and up to RJ Murphy standards.
Strict Requirements
- 10+ Years Experience: Deep, verifiable experience in high-end residential construction is mandatory.
- Proven Leadership: You must have a track record of successfully managing crews and job sites.
- Full-Phase Knowledge: Mastery of all phases of construction, from foundation to final punch list.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and a clean, detail-oriented work style.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are required.
- Local Focus: Must be able to commute to or relocate to Huntington Beach, CA.
