This position is responsible for accurate, safe, and timely handling of materials and shipments within the distribution center. The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and shipping documentation integrity while supporting overall warehouse flow and customer commitments.
Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Let's talk about responsibilities:
- Verify identifying information and quantities for incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and system records
- Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine materials to be picked, staged, or shipped
- Move materials and products from receiving or production areas to storage, staging, or shipping locations
- Sort, stage, and place materials on racks, shelves, bins, pallets, or designated locations according to standard work
- Pick, assemble, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Transport completed orders to packing stations or shipping areas
- Label, mark, and identify materials using required identifying information
- Open boxes, containers, and packaging as required to support order processing
- Accurately record quantities of materials received, moved, or shipped
- Use computer systems, WMS, and shipping software to complete transactions and generate shipping labels
- Prepare parcels and shipments in accordance with shipping and quality standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational standards
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or shipping environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory or shipping systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Environment:
Warehouse environment. The incumbent will regularly stand and walk and may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift materials in accordance with safety guidelines.
