Summary
We are seeking an experienced BHT Supervisor to take full command of our facility during the first shift. This is a critical leadership role for a professional who has successfully managed teams in a behavioral health or residential setting. You will oversee first-shift operations, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, guiding staff development, and maintaining a supportive environment for clients in recovery.

7AM-3:30PM: Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the entire first shift BHT staff, acting as the primary decision-maker for all operational and personnel issues during the shift.

Execute rigorous facility walkthroughs and safety audits to ensure strict adherence to Joint Commission/CARF standards.

Take immediate charge during behavioral emergencies or high-pressure situations, directing staff on de-escalation protocols and ensuring client and staff safety.

Maintain high-level shift logs and incident reports; ensure all documentation produced by the team meets audit standards.

Actively train new hires on standard operating procedures (SOPs), de-escalation techniques, and documentation.

Foster a supportive but disciplined environment that prioritizes client recovery and staff professionalism.

Enforce attendance policies, dress codes, and professional conduct. Address performance gaps immediately and provide formal feedback to leadership.

Manage shift schedules and break times to ensure zero gaps in client coverage.
Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1+ year of direct management or supervisory experience (e.g., Team Lead, Shift Supervisor, Manager).

Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and hold others accountable with compassion.

Clinical Literacy: High comfort level with recovery terminology (Stages of Change, CBT/DBT basics, 12-Step/Smart Recovery) and the ability to teach these concepts to junior staff.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm under pressure.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software or high-level spreadsheet management for tracking resident data.

Certification: State of California certification RADT and CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
