Job Summary

This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service within a family owned and operated business. Compensation starts at $21/hr and increases to $24/hr when skill proficiently is consistently demonstrated.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and other drink options with precision and care
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage preparation stations, and seating areas to meet food safety standards
- Operate POS system, handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Assist with food preparation when needed
- Manage time effectively during both busy and slow periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations
Requirements
- Barista experience
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Willingness to perform cleaning duties regularly to uphold hygiene standards in the café area
