Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter / Carpenter to join our team. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong work ethic, leadership ability, and a minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience.
Since 2020, Vanguard has provided quality interior tenant finish, ground-up construction and renovation services for commercial construction. We are one of the premier commercial general contractor’s in the Intermountain Region.
Candidates must be able to put on the tool bags and comfortable working with tools daily and performing a wide range of construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform interior demolition and job site clean-up
- Metal and wood stud framing
- Set door frames and hang doors
- Install acoustical grid and ceiling tile
- Install cabinets, shelving, and store fixtures
- Install wood trim, crown molding, chair rail, and base
- Install slatwall and shelf standards
- Install rubber base
- Drywall installation, taping, and finishing
- Painting and general finish work
- Patch and repair door frames
- Install hardware
Lead Carpenter Duties
- Lead and supervise crews on job sites
- Read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Lay out job sites and coordinate workflow
- Ensure quality control and project efficiency
- Participate in progress, coordination, and project meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial interior construction
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Proven leadership experience (for Lead Carpenter role)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focusedYou must be able to put on the tool bags and have skills with at least five years of carpentry experience.

Responsibilities will be:
Interior demolition, clean up construction sites, metal and wood stud framing, set door frames, hang doors, install acoustical grid and tile, install cabinets, shelving, wood trim, rubber base, drywall, tape drywall, paint, etc.
Actively participating in all progress meetings, coordination meetings and project staff meetings.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
