Position Summary
Mueller Builders, LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Roofing & Siding Repair Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing residential and commercial roofing and siding systems while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in the field.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform service calls to inspect roofs, siding, and exterior building components to identify repair needs.
- Locate roof leaks, storm damage, siding failures, and other exterior deficiencies.
- Complete repairs during the initial visit whenever possible.
- Determine the cause of leaks, water intrusion, or exterior damage and develop repair recommendations for larger projects requiring estimates.
- Install temporary repairs or protective coverings when permanent repairs cannot be completed immediately.
- Repair and correct damaged or improper roof access points.
- Fabricate and install metal roofing components as needed.
- Repair and maintain residential and commercial roofing systems.
- Repair and replace siding, trim, soffit, fascia, and other exterior components as needed.
- Document inspection findings, repair details, labor, and materials accurately using company software.
- Assist with estimating repair projects and providing recommendations to customers.
- Maintain accurate job records and expense documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle, workspace, and job site.
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and office staff.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience in residential and commercial roofing and siding repair is required.
- Knowledge of roofing systems, siding materials, and exterior repair techniques.
- Experience with metal roofing fabrication and installation is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to use mobile devices and software applications for documentation and communication.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights and safely use ladders.
- Ability to lift, carry, and handle roofing, siding, and construction materials and equipment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
