We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, immunizations, and specialized treatments like botulinum toxin therapy.
- Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, catheterization, tube feeding management, and ventilator care with strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously, utilizing telemetry and critical care skills for ICU or trauma center environments; respond swiftly to emergencies following critical care protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards.
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of diagnostic imaging results like sonography or mammography.
- Educate patients and families on health management strategies, discharge planning, pain management techniques, and chronic disease education within geriatrics or pediatric populations.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation.
- Extensive experience working with diverse patient populations including individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or those requiring hospice & palliative medicine.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures.
- Skilled in performing complex procedures such as IV insertions, venipuncture (phlebotomy), sterile processing techniques, ostomy care, and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
- Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with trauma medicine and acute pain management practices.
- Ability to manage emergency situations effectively in urgent care or emergency room settings; experience with airway management and ventilator support essential.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with case management capabilities for discharge planning and long-term care coordination.
