Full-time, Monday through Friday-- no nights or weekends
$17.00/hour starting pay

Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma
18 years or older
Able to pass a CYFD Background Check and Drug Test upon hiring
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a childcare setting( not required-training provided)
Comfortable working with people from diverse and cultural and economic backgrounds
Flexibility to meet the changing needs of children and programs
Major Responsibilities/Duties
- Create a positive environment for children that will enhance learning and development; physically, socially, and emotionally.
- Interact with the children in a way which conveys respect and nurturing
- Engage in activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the development levels of the children
- Attend to the personal hygiene of each child in your care, including changing diapers or soiled clothing and washing hands
- Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the program
- Assist in the cleaning of the childcare rooms and outside areas at the end of the day
- Collaborationg with coworkers and families to support child growth
- Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each child’s family and encourage their involvement in the program
- Continue professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and other staff development opportunities
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors of Position:
Candidate must be able to lift and care for young children and sustain long hours of active work. This includes the ability to be conscious and alert during your shift. Active engagement required throughout your shift ; this will often mean getting down on the floor to interact with them several times throughout your shift. You will need to have a quick response to various situations in a dynamic enviroment
