Machine Assistant
1st, 2nd, or Weekend Shift | Grafton, WI
The ideal candidate for this position will assist press operators and support a variety of production tasks on the floor.
Duties may include:
- Operate punch presses as a helper, assisting the primary operator with setup, feeding, and part handling
- Assist in secondary type operations
- Perform metal finishing tasks including drilling, tapping, product re-work, tube sizing, deburring, and sanding
- Perform general clean up around machines and work area
- Perform operator quality checks using proper measuring devices correctly during operation and complete quality records, as required
- Complete appropriate paperwork accurately and completely
- May require successful completion of forklift or overhead crane training
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Candidates must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance, along with the ability to concentrate on tasks. Computer skills, estimating skills, and strong communication can help candidates advance in this role.
