Position Overview
The Cochran Firm Texas is seeking an experienced and highly organized Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 15 years of experience handling plaintiff personal injury matters and will be responsible for managing cases from intake through settlement or trial.
Unlike many volume-driven personal injury firms, our practice emphasizes strategic case development, personalized client service, and meticulous attention to detail. We are seeking a paralegal who takes pride in providing concierge-level support to both clients and attorneys and who views each case as unique rather than simply moving files through a system.
The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, clients, medical providers, experts, and insurance carriers to ensure every matter receives the attention and advocacy it deserves. In addition to litigation support responsibilities, the candidate will assist with certain administrative and office management functions that help ensure the efficient operation of the practice.
Responsibilities
· Manage a select portfolio of plaintiff personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
· Develop strong client relationships and provide white-glove service through proactive communication, responsiveness, and individualized attention throughout the life of each case.
· Order, review, summarize, and organize medical records, billing records, and other damages-related documentation.
· Draft demand packages, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
· Assist attorneys with case strategy, settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation.
· Coordinate with experts, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
· Maintain accurate case files, calendars, and deadlines within the firm's case management system.
· Perform light administrative and office support duties that contribute to the smooth operation of the office.
· Ensure that each case is handled with exceptional attention to detail and responsiveness.
The ideal candidate is someone who values quality over quantity, enjoys building meaningful client relationships, and takes ownership of their work. We are looking for a professional who thrives in a boutique environment where exceptional service, responsiveness, and attention to detail are expected and appreciated.
