We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of an apartment community. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the property, responding to service requests, and ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance across the community
- Maintain building exteriors, grounds, and common areas to company standards
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general carpentry issues
- Prepare apartment units for new residents (turns/make-readies)
- Maintain the community pool, including opening, routine upkeep, and ensuring it remains operational throughout the season
- Manage maintenance supplies and equipment
- Ensure safe operation of all tools, equipment, and systems
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical/trade school preferred)
- 3+ years of apartment or multi-family maintenance experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry
- EPA certification required (or willingness to obtain)
- CPO certification required or ability to obtain within the first 2 weeks (Wake County requirement)
- Experience maintaining or operating a community pool preferred
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Own basic hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
