Job Purpose: Preps a variety of food products including meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and other food products using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the Daily Prep List.
Essential Functions:

Prep food according to instructions for usage by other kitchen team members.

Prep a variety of sauces, fresh ingredients, meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

Understand and comply consistently with the Casino standard portions sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.

Responsible for correct storage and rotation of all food products delivered to kitchen.

Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, convection oven and refrigeration equipment.

Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the kitchen supervisor.

Performs other duties and projects as required by management.

Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking, or standing for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent

Must have basic math skills.

Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 40 pounds.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.

A minimum of 6 months of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.

Current Food Handlers License within 30 days of date of hire.

Ability to work any shifts, start time, weekends, and holidays.

Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
-
Kickapoo Tribal Gaming License.
