Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled In-House & Mobile Mechanic specializing in commercial vehicles to join our energetic team. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial vehicles using specialized tools and equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting, including the use of an ohmmeter to measure electrical resistance in vehicle circuits.
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.
- Perform mobile service visits to client sites, delivering high-quality maintenance directly where needed.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports for all work performed.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during repairs and inspections to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management of parts and tools necessary for efficient service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an automotive or commercial vehicle mechanic with strong diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform repairs both in the workshop setting and remotely at client locations (mobile service).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, brakes, transmissions, and engine components of commercial vehicles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.
- Valid mechanic certification/license relevant to commercial vehicles is preferred.
