Job Summary
We are seeking a highly professional and vigilant Commissioned Security Officer to protect our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security protocols, law enforcement, or military service, and possess the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role requires a licensed security professional committed to maintaining a safe environment through proactive surveillance and conflict management. The position offers an opportunity to serve in a dynamic security setting with responsibilities that demand integrity, alertness, and excellent judgment. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas using CCTV systems and surveillance equipment to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular security checks to identify potential hazards or breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified.
- Enforce property rules and regulations while managing conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations related to theft, vandalism, or other security concerns.
- Perform loss prevention activities by observing suspicious behaviors and preventing unauthorized access or theft.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and staff with inquiries while maintaining security protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid security license or commissioned officer certification required.
- Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or professional security preferred.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable.
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques and effective communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations efficiently.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to patrol large areas and respond quickly when needed. This role is vital for ensuring a secure environment for all personnel and visitors while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
