Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Square POS systems, ensuring all requests are met.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Process payments accurately through cash handling procedures while providing excellent guest relations.
Skills
- Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in fine dining or high-volume establishments.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software is preferred.
- Culinary experience is a plus, along with knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
