Position Summary:
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Helper supports the maintenance team in completing general facility upkeep and grounds maintenance across company locations. This position focuses on basic, non-technical tasks such as cleaning, painting, lawn care, and assisting with minor repairs. The role is designed as an entry-level opportunity with potential for growth into a Maintenance Technician position for individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist with cleaning and maintaining car wash facilities, including routine upkeep and general appearance.
2. Perform basic grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weed control, and general landscaping.
3. Assist with painting projects, including surface preparation, painting, and cleanup.
4. Support general facility upkeep, including cleaning work areas, removing debris, and maintaining organization of maintenance spaces.
5. Assist Maintenance Technicians with basic repair tasks and preventative maintenance activities.
6. Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites as needed.
7. Perform routine inspections of assigned areas and report any maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
8. Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal and site preparation.
9. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations while performing duties.
10. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
2. Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
3. Basic familiarity with hand tools and willingness to learn proper usage.
4. Strong work ethic and reliability.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous experience in general labor, landscaping, or maintenance support roles.
3. Experience operating basic equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, or snow removal equipment.
4. Interest in developing maintenance and mechanical skills.
5. Forklift or skid-steer experience is a plus.
