Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Senior Concrete Project Engineer to join our growing construction team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in project engineering, field engineering, or project coordination who can read and interpret drawings, manage submittals and RFIs, and track change orders. The Project Engineer will take ownership of project controls, technical coordination, and field support from preconstruction through closeout using Procore, Autodesk, or similar project management software to keep projects organized and on schedule. Responsibilities
- Read, analyze, and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings for concrete construction projects
- Review and track submittals for accuracy, compliance, and constructability
- Maintain organized submittal logs to ensure timely approvals and distribution
- Draft, submit, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) with design teams and general contractors
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field engineers to resolve drawing/specification conflicts
- Prepare, submit, and administer change orders, documenting cost and schedule impacts
- Utilize project management software (Procore, Autodesk Build, CMiC, Buildertrend, Bluebeam, etc.) for RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Support coordination of material deliveries, concrete pour schedules, and subcontractor activities
- Provide technical support to field crews, ensuring work complies with drawings, specs, and approved submittals
- Assist with project reporting, daily logs, and documentation in coordination with the project management team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent field experience in concrete construction
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Project Coordinator in commercial construction (concrete focus preferred)
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals, and specifications
- Familiarity with ACI, ASTM, and applicable building codes (preferred)
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, CMiC, Buildertrend, Autodesk, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication with problem-solving abilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
